The wait was more than an hour BEFORE I got into the room, then I usually had to wait another hour AFTER in the room to be seen. The nurses are rude and impresonable. The staff is short temepered and impatient. When the doctor finally arrives, they rush through what needs to be done..They don't explain anything and answer your questions as if you have no right to ask them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR'S OFFICE AT ALL!
Over the years I have encountered problems however which makes me not want to recommend this company. Some examples would be the company who handles their bills was several months behind and Comp. WH was not aware of it. When they caught the error it took another month or so for them to resolve the issue which resulted in payments of $200+ being made.
They had doctor shortages at one point due to a baby's birth and instead of notifying patients in order to reschedule they waited until the patients arrived for their appointments to tell them. I began taking birth control after visiting this gynecologist and I paid $25 after insurance and a discount card. When I asked for a cheaper birth control or a free one under obamacare, the gynecologist stated simply that they had no generic for the type I was taking and could not recommend a free one based on my insurance even though my sister stated they should have been able to based on her experience with her gynecologist. During this same time period I had a checkup for my birth control and after being escorted to a room the lady told me to put my clothes in the cabinet like I was having my yearly checkup.
I have also moved recently and in trying to confirm my last appointment date I was transferred twice and kept on hold for 20 mins before I was helped. Overall I would say the in office treatment is okay, but the information the gynecologist can provide is sometimes mediocre. When calling in usually the wait times are terrible and the representatives are rude. 4 stars reflects the in office treatment, but due to the phone service being 1/2 stars I would give it at most a 3.
I came here for a pap and wellness check. The pap exam was the most uncomfortable exam I have ever had. There were a student and a gyno that did my exam the student did my pap, and I felt as she did not know what she was doing. I am not sure if it was because the infection I had, or the woman just did not know what she was doing.
All they did was test me for more STDs and other stuff. When I would call to see if my results came in, the staff took forever with answering. The 3rd time was my last time ever coming to this place. When I asked the doctor about my symptoms he could not explain nor did he want to explain. I felt judged here and did not feel like I was receiving the correct answers. I later found my self in the ER with ovarian cyst! I am not sure why the doctor did not recommend a trans-vaginal ultra sound when all other testing were negative for any findings!. I regret that I came here. I would also like to say that this was the man doctor, not the woman. I had the woman dr the first time I went, and she was a good doctor that answered my health questions. If I would, I came to her the 3rd time I came here she probably would have given me an ultrasound.
Worst experience of my wife's life. No answers, doctor refused to introduce herself, refused to discuss anything to do with my wife or anything she was experiencing. Concluded visit leaving my wife in excruciating pain, with a handful of pamphlets, without even bothering to explain which pamphlets even applied to my wife. When my wife would ask questions such as is this normal doctor would just turn away without answering. When asking about the pain she was in instead of explaining what was happening, or asking questions, simply said "I'm not qualified to give you anything for pain". I could go on for days, but please if you love your wife, or daughter, DO NOT LET THEM GO HERE
After this incident, I came here at least three times for cramps in my lower stomach and pain in my lower back.
I have been using Comprehensive Women's Health for 3-4 years and when I first went everyone seemed helpful and my questions were answered.
This is the slowest freaking obgyn in valdosta I seriously waited over 2 hours to be seen! They only have TWO doctors and no mid wives this place totally sucks!
