I'm so happy that my family came across Imperial Auto Sales. Tony and Jesse as well as the other employees; are very personable and its been a pleasure doing business with them. Since the purchase of my car I've only had a few minor issues that were quickly resolved. No hassle or run around they were willing to answer any question that I had. Imperial knows how to get and keep their customers. My family and I look forward to maintaining a rapport with Imperial, most certainly. Their vehicles are very reasonably priced and have a nice inventory as well. Definitely a dealership worth doing business with.
I wanted to take a moment and share with you the experience my wife and I shared while shopping at Imperial Auto Sales. My wife has been wanting an SUV for quite some time now and the other day I decided I would go find one for her. I drove around several used car lots in Valdosta and the surrounding areas looking for a decent SUV for my wife. She was interested in a Dodge Journey but we could not afford a brand new car at this time. Towards the end of the day I remembered I purchased the 2002 Honda Civic LX I was driving at Imperial Auto Sales last year. The Honda has proven to be an excellent investment so I figured why not go back to the same dealer and see what they have in stock. When I pulled onto their lot I immediately noticed 'The Car." A 2007 Ford Edge in excellent condition. I looked the car over once or twice and Tony came out and asked me some questions and he recommended I take it for a test drive. So I asked for the keys and drove it for about 15-20 miles. The interior was next to spotless. I decided this was the car I was going to buy for my wife. It was evening and the sun was setting so since Imperial Auto Sales are closed on Saturday and Sunday I knew the car would be safe until Monday. On Monday I had to work so my wife caught a cab to the dealership to test drive the SUV. After she test drove the vehicle she took it to the Langdale Ford dealer for inspection. I wanted to make sure the vehicle was mechanically sound before I made such a big purchase. Langdale told my wife the vehicle needed $3500 in repairs. My heart sank. I felt terrible. I told my wife to go back to Imperial and talk to Jesse, to see if they would repair the vehicle we were interested in buying. Jesse seemed flabergasted at Langdale Ford's claim the car needed a new head gasket, brakes, and a new clip for the air intake. Jesse stated my wife may have been taken to the cleaners by their service department since she is a woman which is easy to understand. Mechanics love taking advantage of women because not all women are mechanically inclined. Jesse asked if I would not mind his mechanic looking over the vehicle to substantiate the dealerships claim. His mechanic looked the vehicle over and stated the car did not need a new head gasket. The brakes did show obvious signs of wear and could be replaced if desired but it is not needed at this time. Jesse called me back and told me the story regarding his mechanics diagnosis. Jesse realized that I might perceive his mechanic as being biased and offered some peace of mind. Jesse said he would pay out of his own pocket for the vehicle to be taken to another dealer in the local area to have the same inspection we paid for at Langdale to see if in fact Langdale was being honest about the repairs. I agreed to the deal and as of right now we are waiting to hear back to see what Cook County Ford has to say about the car. Another thing I wanted to mention is the hospitality and kindness shown to my wife by Imperial Auto Sales. Imperial knew she did not have a vehicle since she took a taxi to their business so they let her borrow another SUV to go to lunch. I mean talk about service!!! My wife did not have to call a taxi to go back home either. They drove her home! They also told her if she had called them they would have come to pick her up and a taxi was not needed. As of right now we are waiting to see the outcome of Cook County Ford's vehicle inspection. I highly doubt what Langdale Ford told my wife about the vehicle will turn out to be true. Up to this point it has truly been a five star experience. Stay Tuned
