My family is an Oakwood family! We have had a child at Oakwood since the day they opened and I have never failed to be impressed by the caring and compassionate way they care for our children, from the tiniest to the biggest. They address any concerns we as parents have and our children are happy and well cared for. I have always been amazed by how much our little ones learn and how much they are teaching them. They will definitely be ready to start school!
My oldest child is now in Kindergarten, but we moved her to Oakwood after two bad experiences with two other day cares. She LOVED going to "school" and was there until she started in the public schools. So, when we had our new baby, who is almost 5 months old, there was no question where we would send her. We absolutely LOVE the teachers and staff there. They are all quick to greet you and the baby! The baby room teachers are AMAZING with the babies. They go out of their way to make sure my baby is taken care of. They know my daughter's schedule without me reminding them. They are very informative when I pick my child up as to how her day went. I know that these ladies go above and beyond with childcare. I witness it each day. They truly love "their" babies. Courtney and Kelly are MORE than helpful and caring. They are in and out of the rooms every day to check on how things are running and how the children are doing. It is not uncommon to find one of them in the infant room when I pick up my daughter, or holding a child who needs just a little more love right then. I am greeted by someone each time I walk into the building with a smile to me, and them talking to my daughter. We LOVE Oakwood, and would NEVER go anywhere else!
Gloria, your family was unenrolled from our center due to none payment of your tuition. You voided us for two weeks to keep from paying. Once we contacted your caseworker you then came and paid. We informed you that your child would then be placed on the waiting list for a spot because his spot was giving to another family, again this was the result in you not paying tuition. Your child's weight loss was more than likely due to the fact that he was sick which is what you stated. Trust me no one goes hungry at our center. They are fed very, very well each day.
This place should be closed down, their treatment of my sisters daughter, is boarding on child endangerment. Not changing diapers regularaly, to the point where poop was completely dried to her private areas. It's disgusting, the women who work there do not seem to care and they don't seem qualified at all to be handling children. DO NOT TAKE YOUR INFANTS HERE! My niece is now traumatized and it's created a big issue for my sister who's now having difficulties working because when she leaves her daughter has a melt down because of this place and how she was treated. The workers could even keep track of how many bottles she'd had.... I mean really? You can keep track of that? Avoid taking 3 year olds and younger here.
My son was in Mrs. Sherry’s K4 class and he loved going to school every day! I never had a doubt in my mind that he was receiving excellent care. Mrs. Sherry always had fun learning activities planned for her class; she always made me feel involved and welcomed in her classroom.
Oakwood School is a highly recommended, well known childcare center that provides great care to the families that are enrolled there. When you have time to post long and repetitive posts that are false says a lot about you. You clearly have nothing better to do in life. Amy your attitude was very bad towards the staff daily. You thought your child was better than the other kids and that your child should not be on the floor or better yet even share toys with the other kids. Other parents even saw your attitude and thought you were rude. No one sits at the desk upfront, why because we have a job to do. We greet each person who walks through the door who we see but I forgot you wanted "special" treatment and the one day we didn't roll out the red carpet it upset you. So please tell the truth if you are going to make a post. I will no longer tolerate bashing our center. We work very hard taking care of the children under our care daily. We have parents who are very pleased with the care their child/children are receiving.
