Very disappointed with this company. All Hiram had to do was add freon. He got the approval from my landlord and came back by I had an emergency come up. The unit was outside, yet he drove on by. Was guaranteed I was first on his list today, yet here it is 11:46 am no phone call. My son has been home all day. He has not once called me to verify if I was home. I had called them before I left to tell them he was home, still no Hiram. Run from this company.
Ray and Son installed a new Carrier heat pump/AC unit August 2016. In September 2017, both the thermostat and reversing valve died. While the parts were still under warranty, labor was not (it expired on Sept 1, ~ 2 weeks before the AC died). Ray and Son however, fixed the unit and did not charge for labor (estimated at $500). I appreciate this because a >$5000 unit should not have parts failing a year after purchase, which has me a bit concerned about the quality of Carrier units, however, I don't have the same concerns about the quality of service from Ray and Son. They did right with respect to customer service and fixing the problem, which I appreciate and commend!
I recommended this ray &sons air to my Daughter and Son In-law after seeing their ad on Google...Their ad said no credit checks ,great customer service...So my Son In-law made the call they came out, They hooked him up with green sky credit company( which has extremely high interest rate....They installed the air conditioning unit.Within 2 months the wood flooring next to the air handler was buckling, the hose was leaking...We called they came out, we ask that they replace the flooring. They were called a second time about another leak., did fix the leak but nothing about replacing water ruined wood flooring..It's been about 5 months , still haven't fixed the wood flooring...I wouldn't recommend this company again to anyone,ever. Infact I do tell others that this ray&son didn't seem to care their product and the installation ruined the wood flooring in my Daughter's home....
We recently had our air conditioned serviced by this company and we are very pleased with the results. Jimmy the technician, arrived on time, worked diligently, was very courteous, very professional and knowledgeable. Keep up with the good work!
Another, well known, local business came to my house to fix my AC. First day the repairman replaced a capacitor; next day I realized we had the same problem. They came back out and replaced a motor; 3 hrs later, still had the same problem, after $500. Called them again and they said they wouldn't charge a diagnostic fee to come back out, but would for parts; told them I'll go elsewhere. Called Ray and Son and the repairman knew what he was doing; replaced a relay and my AC works great and at a fraction of what I paid the other company for accomplishing nothing.
