Megan always provides wonderful salon services in a comfortable, trendy atmosphere! Cuts, colorjobs, etc. I have always had great experiences, and I highly recommend this salon.
Great people to visit for hair care. Penny has taken care of my wife and son for years and does a wonderful job! All the ladies are great and super friendly.
I came into Whimsy Salon for a haircut and to get my roots lifted and a platinum glaze. I saw Paxton and this lead to hair disaster. All of my roots were not lifted! She missed my hairline and various stripes of my roots could be found through out my hair. The ones that were lifted were not lifted enough. This caused the few lifted roots to turn orange once she had put on two different glazes. I asked for platinum blonde, the first glaze was a warm yellow. After further explanation she redid the glaze. My hair was then splotches of yellow and platinum. Paxton then said I need to get a purple shampoo and that upon using the shampoo the yellow would be gone. She did not offer another glaze or treatment despite vocalizing that the color was not right. The haircut wasn't any better, she put layers in the back which were not even and did not blend well with the rest of my hair. The cut sat on my head like a helmet, there was no movement. Last of all, she managed to bleach 3/4 of the back of my shirt while washing my hair! She didn't even tell me it happened, let alone apologize! At the end of the cut, not aware of the horrors yet to be found, I casually asked how long she has been a stylist. She said she graduated 3 MONTHS ago. When I initially called to book the appointment I should have been told she was a recent graduate and asked if I was comfortable with a brand new stylist. They did not ask nor inform me. They also didn't call to remind when my appointment was, something every salon does. I then, with the shirt on that I didn't know had been bleached, left and went grocery shopping, got gas, and met my husband at a restaurant. He was the one to tell me that 3/4 of my green shirt was bleached yellow. I was incredibly embarrassed and upset that I had not been told. There was no way that Paxton and the other stylists didn't see this as I left the salon. She had offered to towel my shirt dry but said nothing of the bleach. It was the worst $65 I ever spent. At the time I thought it strange when she refused a tip. Upon getting the receipt emailed to me, I learned that photography was in the title, nothing about being a hair stylist. The next day I called and told the receptionist I was upset and the reasons why. She informed that the neither the owner nor Paxton was there. She took my name and number and promised a call back by the end of that evening, a Thursday night. It's Saturday and no one has called. Customer service obviously isn't important to the women of this salon. I am not interested with letting someone else do my hair at this salon. I will never go back and will stop anyone I know from going there.
Michele Redfern is great! I get my haircut and my roots done and she always takes the time to listen to what I want. She is a cautious hair stylist and I appreciate that since you can always cut more hair, but you can't put it back!
