My stepdaughter had a blast at this place; the staff was great, and there was a brief storm delay that scared off the crowds, making our rides void of lines. The water park is not the best I have been to, but it doesn't leave you feeling like you missed anything, IMHO. For the size and price of the place, especially when you know that you are supporting a family values/Christian owned place, it really is great to see all they offer. Blending the animals in with the fun stuff is great, because it kind of makes it easy for the parents to get kids more interested in learning, rather than just going on rides all day. It is also great to have a mix of things that everyone can do together. I definitely would recommend this place to others families.
It is not comparable to Disney World by any stretch of the imagination, so start with lower expectations. Also, there are a lot of blackout dates and the times are not consistent throughout the year because the park appears to be largely staffed by local kids, so they follow the local school calendar.
It is a relatively inexpensive theme park, so you get the experience you are paying for and many of the attendees are what you might expect at an inexpensive venue. If you want to have a fun time with the family on a budget, this is a good place to go, but if you need characters, castles and catering to your every whim, you are better off shelling out the extra dough in Orlando.
COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY! Been going here my whole life and it has gone completely down hill, wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Majority of the employees have nasty attitudes and act like they hate their jobs. There have even been a few occasions where I have been told by a few employees that it is not a fun or enjoyable place to work, they have lost tons of employees and business over the past few years and rating continue to decrease. Their hours are absolutely terrible, they are closed every day of the week (even during fall break) except for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They usually close at 9 on Friday and Saturday but during Halloween ONLY, they close at 11, they should be closing no earlier than 11 every Fri-Sat all season long. Closing time is 6:00 every Sunday. (Water park closes an hour earlier than dry rides every day) Open later on nights of concerts, but rides close down at normal time so the only way you keep from getting kicked out is to stay and watch the concert. Food is way overpriced and pretty nasty, no lids/straws for drinks and no plastic ware for food. Park is usually dirty and stinks in many areas. Employees/staff never get in any kind of hurry for anything, extremely slow no matter where you go and employees normally have no idea about any questions they are asked so don’t expect them to inform you on anything. Park is VERY poorly managed and none of this will change until there is a new owner who knows how to run a true theme park.
During the hurricane after driving 11 hours with two kids we arrived in this town. They said that anyone displaced by the storm could go for free! With all of the chaos going on it was SO amazing that they did this for families!
This is a great place to visit so long as you don't pay full fare, but they have plenty of opportunities for discounts. The Splash Island was a highlight of our trip. We wore our swim clothes under our street clothes so after we finished riding the amusement rides we were already dressed for the water. Make sure to finish your experience by traveling on their Safari Train. It really wrapped up our day perfectly. We will definitely be returning in the future.
There are rides for every age group and the water park is fun and refreshing over the summer months.
Wild Adventures is an easy 90 minute drive from Gainesville, FL. We got the Gold Annual Pass, which gives you free parking and discounts on food, drinks and merchandise. The only drawback is that you will need to use your GPS to get there once you get off the interstate. It is over the river and through the woods for sure.
Thank you for being so kind!!!
It meant so much to have a day or normalcy !
The park was awesome! They have such a large variety of rides for all ages. It is well kept and the staff was very nice. I would happily go back if we are in the area again!
