I wouldn't recommend working with them, or even doing business here. I walked in for an interview and was immediately put to work. There was no interview, Maureen went straight to telling me what my job consisted of, and what my responsibilities were. She ask me if I was ready to go to work without discussing hours, pay, or anything for that matter. I was "trained" for a day and a half, and then thrown out there to learn it myself. I was responsible for everything from assembling tax returns, stocking pretty much everything in the firm, running errands, and sitting upfront when the receptionist was available, all for 9.00/hr. When the partners provided lunch for meetings or birthdays, I had to go pick up the food. I was told that I couldn't order for myself, but that after everyone got done eating, if there were any leftovers I was welcome to them because I had to clean up. (put up any leftover food, throw trash away, and put the table up) Amanda, another one of the partners even had me to wash my hands and put ice in the cups for ones attending the meeting. The one time I was given permission to put in an order for myself, the partners were providing lunch from 5 guys. I picked up, loaded, and unloaded food for at least 15 employees with no help. After setting up the tables, I was told to go downstairs to cover the front desk so that everyone else could go upstairs and enjoy lunch. Around an hour later, I was relieved for my lunch. I enjoyed a cold, dry burger and a melted piece of ice cream cake in my office. The employees are spoiled, and God forbid they have to load paper in the printer. Sheila jumped down my throat for wanting to learn more after all of my tasks were complete before lunch on a Wednesday. Everything I done for the rest of that day, I got fussed at for. It was discussed before I accepted the position that I would be available Thursday because my 4 year old had an appointment in Macon. I walked in Friday hoping things would be better from Wednesday and it was that much worse. Monday rolls around and its like nothing ever happened. Last Thursday I mentioned open house to Maureen and ask her if I could leave at 230 for that and she said she had no issue with it. By 9:30 I was getting a text to turn in my mileage and time so that I could get paid. I went to Maureen to see what this was about, and was informed that they were letting me go. I was never given a reason, and was told I could finish out the day of I wanted to. Once I informed her that I certainly would not be finishing out the day, she informed me that someone else was already hired for my position. I emailed her trying to get answers about what happened and needless to say, still no reply. I would go elsewhere for financial help, and I definitely wouldn't consider them for employment unless you're okay with being a slave to a bunch of spoiled individuals.
